Aziz is working on the brochures of ICA, project and training along with forthcoming December gathering.

Aziz and Dr. Mahbub has reviewed the comments on Deforestation proposal from Sandy of Global Forest Coalition and Street Children from Jonathan of ICA UK.

On 12 June Dhaka ICA office was inspected by the NSI towards foreign donation registration.

On this Saturday Maguires are going to organize a day on Bangladesh in Australia, where the Hutchinsons will be present among others.

JAPAN:

Global Partner Center Activities

Shizuyo and Mamiko returned from Vietnam, having accomplished the arrangements for construction of a large kitchen for the newly built pre-school.  Kaoru attended a session on a Japanese fund that supports projects in Latin America, we talked with John Oyler about funding a Toshiba tree farm in Arizona, Naomi is arranging another grant for Kenya, and we are starting to prepare several projects for Africa. Andrew continued full blast with training courses, and said that we need to get professional marketing people to help us, very soon, to meet the overwhelming demand.

ITERLENG ICA South Africa:

Susan and Fisser attended a meeting with HIV/AIDS Project Awareness Development. A proposal was submitted to the organisation for ICA  to conduct a 5 day training on Monitoring and  Evaluation, Report writing and PSP.

A staff meeting was held to review individual planned activities for the past two weeks.

Preparations are at an advanced stage to host Mary Laura Jones and Paul Noah during their one week visit next week.

Sifiso a volunteer with ICA is leaving for CapeTown today for 4 days to represent the YFL Programme in the National Parliament. The main object of the Youth National Parliament is for NGOs contribute recommendations towards the policies and programmes the Government has for the National Youth.

UNITED KINGDOM:

The Youth Programme has facilitated 2 Action Planning weekends for organisations in London and is about to launch its young community leaders programme in London 23rd June, which started in the North, in Bolton, in May.

We have also done an Action Plan in Broadheath, Greater Manchester. Thanks to Emma Leamon and Alan Heckman for their help with these.

Martin travelled to Northern Ireland to deliver a GFM with Julie in Derry this week. We also received the funding from the Elton John AIDS Foundation for the impact assessment of Living Well in Kenya, now planned for late July.
