ICA ASSOCIATES INC. (Canada)

We completed a week of planning in which we reviewed policies related to the way we relate to our profesional associates.

We continued planning for establishing an office in Western Canada.

Our course sponsor in Saskatchewan has stepped up efforts to recruit public courses and to arrange facilitated events and in-house courses. Wayne Nelson has been working with this group to re-establish public course offerings in Saskatchewan.

We have added an interactive feature on our web site that enables our public course sponsors to access registration information and use our online data base for ongoing connection with clients as well as promotion.

Bill Staples spent the week in Regina completing his report. He has been working with a regional health department on plans to expand health promotion efforts in the area.

Jo Nelson taught Group Facilitation in Red Deer, Alberta and courses for educational professionals in Edmonton. The Red Deer course was added to the public schedule recently in response to a surge in interest.

John Miller facilitated a planning event for the Metro Toronto Zoo.

PERU:

Location: 100 Valleys

The staff met this week to design a new marketing campaign to begin to involve the 51 collaborating organizations in the 100 Valleys Project.  The first step will be to use the VISION program to expose the staff of the organizations to the ToP methods and to equip them to improve their performance in their service areas.  This will then give us a common understanding for our work together in the 100 Valleys Project.  The first VISION program is scheduled for 7-11 May for 20 participants.  Additional VISION programs will follow every two weeks, as there are hundreds of people in the other NGOs who need to be trained to do effective particpatory planning for their client communities.
