CANADA:

Location: Listen to the Drumming Campaign

ICA Canada met to plan out the coming year, and the Listen to the Drumming campaign has committed to the following fundraising activities for 2007-- The Marathon, Speaking Engagements, Member Events, Proposal Submissions, Direct Mail, and an Online Donation campaign. The funds raised will support African ICA's responding to HIV/AIDS.

Location: Toronto

Fred, Cara, Eowynne, Liz and David drove up to the beautiful home of John and Thea Patterson north of Toronto to engage in planning for 2007. The session was facilitated by Jim Patterson, John's brother and also long-time affiliate of ICA. Cara and Eowynne spent the rest of the week preparing for the 2nd training session in Georgina.

ICA ASSOCIATES INC. (Canada)

This has been a week of planning for the future of our business. We are extending the ownership of ICA Associates to John Miller and Christine Wong. This will make all of our current staff - plus ICA Canada - owners of the company.
We also made phased plans to open a series of new offices over the next several years.

.Jo Nelson spent the week connecting with friends and colleagues in Murrin Bridge, an Australian aboriginal community where she worked in the early 80's.

PERU:

Location: 100 Valeys

A huge amount of activity this week with closing of mining companies for the participation of their impact communities in the 3-week AVANZA PERU community leader formation program. 

Meanwhile, major changes are happening to the Azpitia Training Center in preparation, and the entire staff will be engaged in a workday on Saturday to tackle some major challenges at the Center.  Excitement is running high!

TAIWAN:

Location: Taipei Taiwan ROC

Ended 2006 and into 2007 on a high note with personal mentoring and monitoring as well as graduating from the Facilitator Certification Program FCP    Co-sponsoring the launch of an Imagine Taiwan campaign with 3 other NGOs with 70 people in a day of Open Space.   

Signed up 5 new participants in the FCP program, 4 New Reiki students.

Preparation for 8 Taiwan colleagues to journey to Nepal for a series of 3 courses with ICA colleagues February 12 - 24, 2007

UNITED KINGDOM:

Happy New Year from the UK!The first week of 2007 saw Jonathan and David Warren, an ICA UK Associate, facilitate a visioning day with a local primary school, and the second draft of the grant application for HIVAIDS in Africa being completed.

A few bookings and in-house enquiries coming in for training and facilitation, and an invitation to submit a proposal to a UK funder to support our development and growth.
