At one month from the end of 2019, our activities were enriched by the visit of Mr. Wayne Ellsworth Co-Director of ICA-Japan and participation in the 5th Sub-Regional Conference of the ICA-Côte d'Ivoire Delegation. Ivory in Ghana.

From 09 to 22 November Mr. Wayne, accompanied by the staff of ICA-Côte d'Ivoire, visited and trained the beneficiaries of the 11 villages in which the activities of the MOFA-funded project are carried out. During his various visits he sought to understand how the groups of beneficiaries of each village operate. What are the difficulties they face and also tell them about the new concept that ICA-Japan wants to put in place in the coming years. During his tours, he took advantage of the meetings with the leaders of each village to show them the importance of success in each part of the project that we must have for the evaluators to see and understand that the people have adopted the project.

Subsequently, he received a visit from a delegation of the IFFOU Regional Council who came to question a partnership with ICA JAPAN through ICA CI; the delegation to take advantage to say that the community made available 40 HA for the project in continuation it invites ICA CI / ICA JAPAN to come to visit their area.

Its 5 days allowed each office to present the activities it had to carry out during the year and also to review the activities of the joint project for our sub-region. A presentation of eco-tourism was made by the Regional Director of Tourism on the importance of promoting eco-tourism in our countries and in our respective regions because this new activity will be a good source of activity creation generating income for our communities in the future years.

Regarding the Directors' meeting, we discussed the organization of the future global conference of the ICA and also the common vision that we must have for a certain activity in West Africa.

1 - Ghana has been chosen to organize the next global conference for the simple reason that Cote d'Ivoire will have the Presidential elections in October 2020.

2- A discussion on the drafting of the joint project took place, and we agreed that this integrating project should have been set up so that we could start approaching the financial partners. We also planned the program of exchange of experience between the ICA through our technical agents on the different projects that we execute and working methods used.
